We use browser storage to support website features. This page explains the current storage practices and the controls available to you.
01Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. Local storage and session storage are separate browser technologies that also remember information. This policy covers those technologies as used by hotspicy.
02What this website currently stores
Sign-in uses an HttpOnly storefront_session cookie, valid for up to 30 days or until sign-out, and a short-lived storefront_nonce cookie to protect the Google sign-in flow. When you follow a valid partner referral link, an HttpOnly affiliate_ref cookie remembers the first referral for up to 30 days. It contains a random token and allows a newly registered account to be linked to the referring partner. Favorites are stored with your account on our server. Welcome-notice acceptance is stored under genspicy-rules-accepted, and cookie settings under hotspicy-cookie-consent in local storage. These values support website features and do not contain the uploaded image or video files themselves.
03Optional tracking
The current website does not load third-party analytics or advertising trackers. Cookie settings therefore shows these categories as not in use. If optional tracking is introduced, this policy and the available controls should be updated before those technologies are enabled.
04How long storage lasts
Local storage generally remains until you or your browser clears it. Session storage generally lasts for the browser tab session. Browser settings and privacy features can change these behaviors. Server-side uploads and generation records have separate retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.
05Managing your choices
Open Cookie settings to review the active categories and save your choices. You can also clear or block cookies and website storage through your browser settings. Doing so may reset sign-in state, favorites and notices. Clearing browser storage does not delete server-side generation history or copies held by generation providers.
06Third-party services
Google Identity Services is loaded when you choose to sign in with Google; Google processes the sign-in under its own privacy policy. Submitting a generation request sends the required inputs to the relevant model or infrastructure provider. This is separate from browser tracking. Third-party websites you visit through external links control their own cookies and storage.
